Returns & Exchanges
Standard Return Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with an item, you may return it within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund or exchange, subject to the conditions below.
- Items must be in new, unused condition with original packaging intact.
- Original proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation) is required.
- Return authorization (RMA) must be obtained prior to shipping back any items.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Custom-made or special-order tools and saw blades.
- Used items or items showing signs of wear or damage not due to shipping.
- Sharpening services (however, we guarantee our workmanship - see our Sharpening page).
- Clearance or "Final Sale" items.
How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Us: Email us at burnette@triad.rr.com or call 1-800-578-7197 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please provide your order number and reason for return.
- Pack Your Item: Securely package the item in its original packaging if possible. Include a copy of your invoice and write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box.
- Ship It: Ship the package to the address provided with your RMA. We recommend using a trackable shipping service. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item sent, defective product).
- Refund Processing: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund to the original method of payment within 5-7 business days.
Restocking Fees
Standard returns of non-defective items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover handling and processing costs. This fee is waived for exchanges or if the return is due to a Burnette Tools error.
